OFAC Compliance Policy

HOME DASCA Certifications OFAC Compliance Policy

Data Science Council of America (DASCA) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards and complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). OFAC rules and regulations prohibit conducting business activities in certain countries and with designated individuals or entities. Therefore, DASCA is unable to provide services or engage in business activities in the following regions: Crimea region of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria.

Candidates outside the United States should carefully review the OFAC SDN list before applying for a certification or partnership program with DASCA to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Additionally, DASCA does not conduct business with individuals or organizations subject to export compliance laws and trade sanctions or listed on the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list. If a candidate or organization attempts to register for a program despite being subject to U.S. sanctions prohibiting business transactions with DASCA, their registration will be canceled without a refund.

DASCA is dedicated to upholding the principles outlined in this policy and expects all candidates and partners to conduct themselves in accordance with these standards.
